A paternity action may be filed by any woman who is pregnant or has a child, any man who has reason to believe that he is the father of a child, or any child to determine the paternity of the child(ren) when legal paternity has yet to be established.  In addition to establishing legal paternity over a child, the court may also address issues such as child support, timesharing, health insurance for the child, decision-making authority over the child, parenting plans, and payment of attorney’s fees.
